The March Slice of Life Story Challenge hosted at the
Two Writing Teachers
Join us for a month of writing!

I noticed a friend of mine join this Slice of Life Challenge and I thought this  would be a great way to break into blogging…again. I’ve had quite a few false starts, but I’m hoping this will force me to really get into the habit. I’m looking forward to seeing what I’ll write, and also what other people write during the challenge.

A slice of my life today…
Today was the last day at a store I’ve been working at for the past four years. I already miss the friends I’ve made there, and count them a great blessing. I look forward to keeping in touch with them and visiting often. But I’m also excited to work at the store I’m going to. I’m going back to the store I was originally hired at; it’s pretty nostalgic for me. I’m hoping to only be with the company another year or so, and I thought it would be nice to end my time there.

Well, I only have a couple of minutes left of today, so I’ll end here. Have a good night/day and see around here soon!

  1. Drew, welcome to SOLC#15 I’m new as well. Sometimes I feel like I have a lot of deep topics to write about and others I feel I’m just getting my current thoughts down. I like your approach to sharing “a slice of your life” today.

    1. Thanks! For the most part I don’t feel like I have anything all that important to say; buuuuut, if I practice writing on a regular basis, I’ll be ready for it if I ever DO have something to say! 🙂

  2. Okay, so I’m mad at fb bc I did NOT know that you’ve been writing this whole time for SOL! Now I know, so I’ll be checking in, but sorry I haven’t been around to your site!

I’m so glad you’re posting. I’ve been finding that it’s starting to become a routine, almost.

Wishing you all the best in your transition at work.

    1. Oh no worries at all! Thanks for sharing your posts on FB; I can’t imagine I’d have come across this fun and challenging challenge otherwise 😉 It’s great to see other people’s posts as well; I’m hoping that’ll become routine along with writing after the challenge is done 😀
